Volunteers are the heart of hospice!
We would not be able to give all the compassion, support and love that we provide to those suffering from serious illnesses without the assistance of our awesome volunteers at United Hospice.
Our volunteer programs provide invaluable service to those facing the challenges of time-limiting illness and loss. If you would like to support the mission of United Hospice as a volunteer, we invite you to explore the following pages.
Volunteers with Us
Volunteering with United Hospice is a win, win. We view volunteers as valued members of our team and hospice volunteers experience a deep sense of personal fulfillment for the time they serve. There are a variety of ways people can give back to the mission of Hospice. Participants can serve in the office, within the community, at events or choose to work directly with individuals and families being served by United Hospice programs.
Youth for Hospice
Founded in 2008 at Clarkstown North High School, Youth for Hospice has continued to grow through the years, as the program has now expanded to include several other area high schools. The mission of Youth For Hospice is to empower the younger generation and develop creative, hardworking and motivated visionaries, who understand the importance of Hospice care and giving back to their community.
