Volunteers | Youth for Hospice

Empowering the Next Generation to Give Back!

Youth for Hospice was founded in 2008 by 12 sophomores at Clarkstown North High School in New City. The legacy they left behind continues to grow and the current membership is comprised of students ranging from freshman to seniors. It has expanded to several other high schools, including Pearl River High School.

Youth for Hospice members meet independently with their high school chapter and all participating chapters for meetings hosted by United Hospice during the school year. These meetings help coordinate community service projects, fundraising events and office administrative office duties when needed.

The Mission of Youth for Hospice

Our Youth for Hospice mission is to empower the younger generation and develop our YFH members into creative, hardworking and motivated visionaries who understand the importance of Hospice care and giving back to the community.

The Youth for Hospice Vision

Youth for Hospice members want to share their enthusiasm and community spirit about United Hospice with the hope that it attracts more teen volunteers in the years to come.
