United Hospice believes in empowering through education

United Hospice believes in empowering those who are suffering from life-limited illnesses through education. Our staff receives ongoing training so that we can continue to provide all those who come in contact with United Hospice with compassion, understanding, and care.  We feel it is essential to provide as much information as possible to those exploring hospice and hope that the information provided on the following pages is helpful.

Make Your Wishes Known

United Hospice wants to empower all patients when it comes to making choices about their health care. An advance directive gives patients a way to make their wishes known to receive the kind of care they desire. To help you through the process of making your wishes known, we provided educational literature and created a website Assuring Your Wishes to help you securely store your wishes.

Family Information

We have put together valuable information for families to help them prepare for the loss of a loved. Our Family Information Packet is intended as a resource to help those who have a family member who is undergoing hospice care and those who may be about to experience the loss of a loved one.

Brochures & White Papers

Looking for information?  Start here.  We have gathered brochures and white papers that patients and families facing the diagnosis of a severe illness may find helpful.

If you cannot find what you may be looking for, please contact us at info@unitedhospiceinc.org, and we will do our very best to help you. We are happy to answer any specific questions and work with you to provide the information you need.

Invite Us To Come Speak!

We offer a variety of educational support to our Hudson Valley community. In addition, we love building relationships with healthcare professionals, specialists, hospitals, nursing homes, and community groups to help raise awareness of the vital work hospice does every day to make life more comfortable for those suffering from a severe illness.

To help us spread our message of compassion and hope, we have speakers available to provide informative, thought-provoking programs for community groups, churches and synagogues, nursing homes, hospitals, and healthcare practices. The presentation can be tailored to meet the needs of your organization. Please contact our Director of Marketing and Public Relations at 845-634-4974 to discuss and make arrangements.
