Help Honor an American Hero

Each year on Veterans Day, Americans pay tribute to our Veterans and acknowledge their vital role in shaping our nation’s history. We take the time to honor the tremendous sacrifices made by our US military Veterans and their families to protect our freedom and preserve our way of life. At United Hospice, we strive to show this respect and gratitude to our Veterans all year long.

United Hospice takes great pride in showing our appreciation to those who have sacrificed so much to serve our country. We work with each veteran to connect them to available benefits, and we bring each patient’s family together for a Pinning Ceremony to honor their commitment to our country, surrounded by family and friends. We go to great lengths to help family members be in attendance as a fellow Veteran does the honor of presenting a commemorative American flag and blanket – both made right here in the U.S.A. Each ceremony is recorded and photographed to create a keepsake for the family.

This deeply moving ceremony has been an emotional high point for so many of the Veterans in our care. But we cannot do this without your help. It costs United Hospice over $25,000 to bring each ceremony to the 125 Veterans we serve each year. Your donation of $200 will entirely underwrite the cost of an affirming tribute to a life that has been dedicated to the service of our country.
