We serve individuals of all ages from infants to seniors. Hospice provides an enhanced quality of life for people with illnesses that include: AIDS, Cancer, Diseases of the heart, lungs, kidneys and liver, Neurological disease including Parkinson’s disease, ALS, and Alzheimer’s/Dementia and many others.
Our specialized and highly skilled comfort care is provided primarily in patients' homes. We are also able to provide assistance in our local hospitals, most skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, group homes and other residential settings. Our Joe Raso Hospice Residence is an option for those individuals who cannot/do not want to be cared for in their own home.
Most insurance carriers (including Medicare and Medicaid) cover hospice care. Our staff can work with your insurer to inquire about coverage and obtain necessary authorizations. If you do not have health insurance, you may qualify for charity care or reduced fees. No one is ever turned away from receiving community based hospice care because they cannot pay for care.
