Established by the Board of Directors of United Hospice, the Bonnie Walsh Education Fund supports annual educational programs that reflect the values Bonnie held profoundly. In addition, his endowed fund will increase community awareness of hospice care among health care professionals, patients, and their families and provide professional development opportunities for direct care staff at United Hospice.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.14.2″ _module_preset=”default” header_text_color=”#00A7B5″ header_font_size=”55px” header_2_text_color=”#00a7b5″ custom_margin=”||||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n United Hospice was fortunate to have known Bonnie Walsh as a friend and colleague for 25 years. Bonnie served the organization with distinction in numerous capacities, including direct-care hospice nurse, director of outreach services, and assistant director. She was a pioneer in the field of hospice and palliative care. In addition, she brought her gifts of compassion and intellect to the teaching community by educating nurses on hospice care scores at local colleges and nursing schools and community leaders, religious groups, and health care associations.
