Hospice Nurse, RN Case Manager, Rockland County, NY, Bilingual (English/Spanish), F/T

Registered Nurse, licensed in NYS

United Hospice is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, compassionate NYS licensed Registered Nurse to join our talented team who will provide RN care and expertise to meet the ever-changing needs of our community-based patients.   It is essential our employees have an understanding and commitment to hospice philosophy of care.  Working with a diverse patient population, you must be able to communicate effectively, while sustaining a caring, kind and professional disposition.  The successful candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and excellent written and verbal communication.

The qualified candidate must have at least two years recent clinical nursing experience in either hospice or hospital-based med/surg nursing, with electronic medical record competence.  Admission and end-of-life care experience preferred.  Within three years of hire, will sit for and pass the Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing Certification Exam, with additional salary enhancement once achieved. Some weekend rotation required.  In the event other RNs have not already volunteered to work the shift(s), you will participate in holiday coverage (two per year) pro-rated at time and half your salaried rate.  Must be bilingual (English-Spanish), with additional salary enhancement at hire.

Daily access to an automobile is required. A valid NY or NJ State Driver’s License, ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.  If you are working in our community-based program, you will be driving from patient residence to patient residence with mileage reimbursement for travel incurred. 

This full-time position offers salary based on years of full-time experience, with additional compensation for BSN and MSN and bilingual skillset. Health insurance, 401k and profit sharing, generous paid time off and Education Assistance is available for benefits eligible employees with scheduled hours of thirty (30) or more.
