Home Health Aides (HHA's) NYS Certified - $15 per hour - Full-Time and Per Diem Opportunities Available, Excellent Benefits! Spanish Speaking a Plus!

United Hospice has opportunities for compassionate and highly skilled, certified Home Health Aides to join our incredible team. We have openings in our Community based programs and our Joe Raso Hospice Residence. Qualified candidates must have a New York State certification as a Home Health Aide.  It is essential our employees have an understanding and commitment to hospice philosophy of care. Working with a diverse patient population, you must be able to communicate effectively, while sustaining a caring, kind and professional disposition. You will be expected to maintain the highest level of confidentiality concerning patient and family information.  Spanish speaking a plus.

HHA's follow the plan of care established by our hospice nurses. You will be an integral member of the direct care team, actively participating in patient care, performing a wide array of health care procedures monitored by hospice nurses such as reinforcing clean dressings, checking urinary catheters, taking vital signs, positioning, etc. Our HHA's provide physical care of the patients as outlined in the HHA care plan, such as bathing, toileting, skin care, etc.

Daily access to a reliable automobile is required. A valid NY or NJ State Driver’s License, ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required. If you are working in our community-based program, you will be driving from patient residence to patient residence with mileage reimbursement for travel incurred. Must be cleared and maintain acceptable record under the NYS Justice Center and mandated criminal background check process.
